Not as advertised

I bought this board as it stated that it could run various operating systems. It came but does NOT have an eMMc on the board. The documentation explains how to install ROOBI OS (which will do the loading of systems), BUT the program you load it with will only work with an eMMC. I sent an e-mail to support twice before I got an answer, which said ROOBI OS can ONLY be loaded into the eMMC. The work around they gave says to use RUFUS to build a bootable USB to install a system. The problem I have is that ALL my systems are Linux and RUFUS does not work with Linux. The main reason I ordered this board was to get a simple and cheap computer to run some of my early X86 software.

The board works up to the UFI system (which is really neat) and does manage to find attached devices (some of the time). You don't have to press the eMMC switch just press F7 when the green cross is displayed. The board appears to be well made and although it requires a 1220 battery (which I had to have shipped) before you can do anything.

While I waited for the battery, I printed a box (found the box on the internet) to put the board into. This box makes it very hard to push the buttons since they are quite small, but it keeps everything in place. It also allows the fan to work if it is installed on the board.

Great System - As advertised - Shipped to US

Great shipping price to US. Tracking was transparent and arrived timely. Packaging was great. Web documentation and drivers are good. Have put Windows 10, 11 and Linux on it. All run great. Note: used Rufus USB boot maker for Windows 11 install. Not sure if it is compatible with all of Win 11's new strictures. 8GB ram is the sweet spot, does not feel hindered by everyday computing. Windows doesn't recognize all hardware on initial install. But the drivers in the documentation work. And found the cab file for the wifi NIC chipset. Linux actually came up better than Win11, no additional drivers needed. Plan to use for test PC and behind the TV presentation device. All for about $100! Great value if you don't need a high powered system.

Install Windows 11 and run well

This low cost mini PC works great. The heatsink and fan is a must.
